Connecting advanced-technology companies
with Japan's industry and capital.
Founded in Tokyo in 2025, Ad Astra Capital is an independent advisory boutique and strategic business-matching firm. We support international companies entering Japan in the aerospace, energy, mobility, and infrastructure sectors, while also assisting Japanese companies in expanding abroad through export-credit (ECA) finance.
Introduction to Ad Astra
Ad Astra Capital is a Tokyo-based independent advisory boutique founded in 2025. As a strategic consultancy, we connect global opportunities. Our principals do the work themselves, in Japanese and English, with the companies, industrial partners, public agencies and financial institutions that decide whether a technology finds its place in Japan, and with Japanese companies taking their products abroad.

How we work.
1. Initial consultation, no charge
we listen and tell you plainly whether Japan is worth your time now.
2. Scoping study, fixed fee,
four to six weeks
who your partners, customers and public programmes could be, and how to approach them. We are paid to say no when the answer is no.
3. Japan Desk and mandates
a quarterly Japan Desk retainer for representation, meetings and monthly reporting, and feasibility or execution mandates once a project is defined.
Core Services Overview

Client Focus
We work with international technology companies entering Japan, with the owners of international sports, entertainment and technology properties considering Japan, with Japanese companies expanding overseas, and with the industrial groups and institutions that partner with them.
